Service Plan

Air Conditioner Check (April - August):

• Install gauges and check operating pressures.
• Examine temperature rise across the evaporator coil, inspect for adequate refrigerant charge, and check for possible leaks (It must be 60° or above for refrigerant to register properly)
• Lubricate all moving parts
• Replace or clean filters
• Inspect compressor contactor and tighten all wiring connections
• Clean and adjust the thermostat, wash the condensing coil, and examine the condensate drain.

Gas Furnace Check (September - March):

• Clean and adjust thermostat, all safety controls, fan control, burners, and pilot assembly
• Adjust burner efficiency, check for gas leaks in the furnace, and lubricate moving parts
• Replace or clean filters and inspect vent pipe and draft diverter
• Visually inspect the heat exchanger for cracks
• Clean and service humidifiers
• Run a carbon monoxide check

Geothermal Check (one cooling & one heating check):

• Clean and adjust blower
• Examine temperature rise across the coil
• Inspect for possible leaks
• Replace or clean filters
• Inspect compressor, contactor, and tighten all wiring connections
• Check loop field pressure and adjust if needed
• Clean and adjust the thermostat and examine the condensate drain

Scheduling

The time of the Planned Service call will be arranged by Ames Heating and Cooling in cooperation with customer convenience. Calls are grouped by area to minimize travel costs. If you have a specific day in mind, please call at least two weeks ahead; otherwise, we will contact you for scheduling.

Discounts

There is a 10% discount on all parts, and we offer $100 off on the purchase of furnaces, air conditioners, and heat pumps.

Fees

Our service technicians will sign you up at the time of the first service. You can provide them with a check at that time, or we will send you a bill. Simply call in to schedule the first service, and our service technicians will take care of you from there.
